I’ve got a server, a friends got a server, what’s the best way to share stuff between the two?

I feel like that’s a low bar to clear, but glad Cachy is getting the attention.

I mean, they still have UTM tracking in their URLs like:
/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
But you’re right I don’t see a random user agent string in there
Reddit, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and pretty much a major social media sites do this. Usually the tracking ID follows the ? in the url so it’s easy to remove. But yeah avoiding those places is probably more ideal.

Great news, but can we talk about that photo? Like did they tarnish a 2080 specifically for this picture or did it happen on accident? Or is it photoshop? I’ve got questions.

Nice, thanks!

Yeah it’s all speculation. The author basically ran a follow up to another article, which they acknowledge, which was a poor translation of a different article. The whole thing is like a journalistic centipede funneling shit all the way down.
Like why start the article with a line like:
Windows 12 rumors are just that … rumors.
And then run an article with even more rumors. I get you can speculate based on trends, but this just seems to be written just to generate clicks from a hopeful Linux community.
I mean, LinkedIn is like fanfic for people who like to lick corporate boot, so… idk if I see there being a federated version of that taking off anytime soon, considering the very anti-corporate views of federated platforms.
How’s that differ from SIGHUP?
Appreciated, thanks!
Interested in this too. I’ve been using the app TV Time for years now, but I’m not married to it. It works. Would be nice to have something that integrated into my self hosted apps tho, that isn’t Trakt cause I’m not paying for that.

Yeah this right here looks exactly what I was looking for.
Been transferring files for sometime over a Wireguard connection, but it’s a bit of a pain to use so I’ve been looking for something better.
Appreciate the tip @mike_wooskey@lemmy.thewooskeys.com

Been debating the same thing for my live setup. Bitfocus Companion runs on Linux and most programs I use seem to be as well. Windows is just such a pain in the ass these days.
My only issue would be for programming since Crestron isn’t supported on Linux, tho I could probably run it in docker or podman.
It was perfect until that second to last page

Guys, don’t you get it? He explicitly told it in ALL CAPS not to do that. Idk how much more clear he could have been. /s
Posting here so I remember to share my UniFi setup later. Off the top of my head UniFi manages my DHCP leases like normal, and I set my DNS to my Pihole server with I forget what logging option on so I get full metrics in Pihole of what clients are what for each DNS request.

Wonder what the weight rating is on these. Some UPS can get pretty heavy.
As far as I know, no. The platform is open source so anyone should be able to check. Plus each instance is run by different people since anyone could spin one up. Since there’s no advertising $$ as this isn’t corporate owned there’s not really a reason to track users either.
