I expected nothing and I’m still disappointed

The mass application boom is so annoying. Seeing a sankey diagram of someone who applied to hundreds of jobs always bothers me.

Getting paid for on-call hours would be cool. If only.

Twitch having 1400ish employees before the layoffs doesn’t seem too crazy, right? Cutting 35% is insane, though.

I didn’t mean it as whataboutism to justify China’s situation, just as a tangent about the US also having work to do. I agree, now that you said it, that it looks like whataboutism.
Hopefully the drop in the US over the past two years turns into a longer trend.

Gini above 0.4 bears a high risk for social unrest
The US in 2022 has a GINI of 0.488. Not great.
I liked Deep Rock. I started playing it during the pandemic with some friends instead of doing in-person board games (and Jackbox and boardgame simulators got old). I definitely ended up playing more single player than multiplayer. Buuut I probably haven’t played it in a year? It just got really samey after getting through a lot of leveling up and unlocks.

I sprained my foot and had to stay in this weekend, so I got back to TOTK for the first time in like a month. I’m about 25hrs in and had a slightly different start? I did the Water Temple basically first, THEN got sidetracked, wandered around doing shrines and side quests.
Hmmm I might update NMS and do another playthrough. I haven’t played it in a few years now.
I think we’re in violent agreement that just sorta looks like an argument.
I’ll acknowledge that I have a privileged position where I can vote with my dollar for this kind of thing.
This is a similar discussion for electric vehicles and transit. It isn’t the fault of the person in a 20 year old rusted out Civic that they’re burning gas, because their neighborhood doesn’t have a bus and why the heck would they pay for an EV and they just have to get to work.
I’ll add it to my watchlist for sales. Thank you!

Please not a detective Pikachu situation
For those who’ve played the game, is it worth it? $30 for around 5 hours of play time seems a bit steep.
Little Kitty, Big City looks fun.
Let’s do both?
I completely agree with you that big industrial polluters are the main problem. I also think that having the mindset every day to live more sustainably and reduce personal waste is valuable, even if it’s really just a drop in the bucket overall. It can be eye-opening and a step toward bigger steps like voting, advocacy, boycotts, and conversations with others.
I would rather do something infinitesimally small than nothing.

Speed limit changes should be accompanied by speed humps / raised crosswalks, narrower lanes, narrower vertical space using trees, planters, bollards, etc, more frequent stops or mini roundabouts, curb bumpouts, etc etc.
Just changing the speed limit without changing the physical space will only do so much.

I’m tempted to get one to use as a “little brother controller”. And just for the absurdity. I’ll wait for some more actual reviews to trickle in first.
I keep hoping for another big gain like Kharkiv and Kherson, but all that time let Russia dig in their fortifications and mine everything, so the line just won’t move that quickly anymore.
What is Russia’s motivation for confirming this?
