I was around to read r/theDonald when it existed. It was a horrible place of absolute hatred and banning it was a decent thing to do. It wasn’t an exercise of free speech, it was an exercise of a Russian/Chinese psyops operation.
I prefer sr.ht, but I admit it’s a bit too spartan for some people with its original git pull request style via emails.
On a positive side, it’ll keep you from getting as many dumb PRs and issues.
To which Anthropic answered by open sourcing the whole thing under AGPL. Didn’t you see the news?
Real HP:MOR energy right there
This is the first time he remembers it changing?

NixOS has some neat ideas but goes to the deep end implementing a near-perfect design of those ideas. If you need those ideas, it’s really great.
I’m fantasizing about doing a lipstick-on-pig kind of a facsimile of NixOS on top of Arch Linux.

Interacting with r/conservative while having a normal human brain might be the fastest way to get a site-wide reddit ban.
One would think that real conservatives would prefer that russian troll farms can not successfully impersonate them. That now that their side holds all the legitimate power in the US, they would actively do something about this.

We do. Same thing for monitor and TV sizes.

Is there anything I need to know about the political affiliations of Jolla / past products / sailfish os before I pre-order this thing?
They worked with and in Russia for a while before the big Ukraine invasion but left immediately after that. If I remember right.
They’re based in Finland, mostly, and some of the founders are ex-Nokia mobile phone people.
If they have any sort of politics, they have been classy enough to keep a sock on it.

So does this mean that a 5" is possible, or that they are going to make it? The 6" model is way too big for me.
Is the 99 € refundable? Yes. Fully.
Well ok, I think I’ll put my money in and we’ll see if they manage to make that reasonably sized model.
I’m currently sitting on a codebase that’s perfectly ok and I have no reason not to open-source it, but it’s 95% generated by AI so I don’t know. Probably I’ll just use it myself like it was an embarrasing sex toy.
Looking at github lately, it seems a lot of people don’t share my reservations.

I’m somewhat interested in what’s coming up from Kärcher. Being a company based in Germany, EU, I’m stupidly hoping that EU data protection laws prevent them from doing the shittiest things.

They did choose to adapt them at version <1.0.0
Could be a brave decision that will lead to these tools getting good a lot faster. Many such decisions seem a bit stupid if you only look at the short term.
My problem is that as I grow older and older, I find it harder and harder to be arsed to write any code. LLM fixes that problem beautifully. I have 20+ years experience so it kinda works. If you don’t have it might not, at the current moment.
