USB to VGA dongles were definitely a thing over 15 years ago. USB 2.0 could manage it fineish. Maybe not at high resolutions and refresh rates, but it could handle a monitor just fine.

Linux@programming.dev•DRM Splash Screen Updated To Simply Drawing A Colored Background, Displaying A BMP Image
5 monthsWriting an article about something and using only acronyms/initialisms without first defining them is just terrible writing.
Be aware that Bazzite is an immutable distro. Your home directory is write enabled, but the rest of the filesystem is read-only.
If you’re used to apt-get and such, it’s a bit of a change. Most of your apps will be flatpaks or appimages.
Also it means system updates require a reboot.

Yeah, write it for the person who has to replace you when you inevitably get laid off so that your company can hire someone for half your salary.
Elon Musk Takes Aim at Reddit
“This is insane,” Musk responded.
Yep, totally taking aim at Reddit. Definitely not clickbait.
That “trying” is doing the heavy lifting in that sentence.

2 years3D printers can move very fast. They typically don’t because it causes all kinds of deformations in the print. Mostly the issues are in acceleration, decelaration, cornering, and controlling the heat snd flow of melting filament.
I don’t know whether or not the accelerometer thing can be done in real time, or if there would be any benefit.
Check out the 2-minute Benchy for an example of how fast a 3D printer can get. This is a test print that typically should take about 45 minutes to an hour at very basic settings.
But also note the quality of the end product. It looks pretty awful. If we could print accurately at even remotely similar speeds, it would be fantastic.

2 yearsIgnorance is not stupidity.
Despite this being reported on tech news, most people won’t even be aware that it’s a thing because most people won’t actually read about it. And the majority of gamers probably don’t even know what a kernel is or why an anti-cheat with elevated privileges would be a bad thing.
Most people buy their computers with Windows preinstalled and probably couldn’t tell you if the CPU is Intel or AMD.
I DECLARE… VARIABLE!

3 yearsI just meant you can have an internal fan that’s larger than your heatsink, and a shroud to direct the airflow to it. It requires less vertical space, but more horizontal space.

3 yearsYou can use a larger fan and a shroud to redirect the air flow, similar to how laptops are cooled.
