I’ve been diehard anti-Apple for anything but their mobile devices (iPhone, ipad) for most of my life. Overpriced, underpowered. Now I own a MacBook Pro M4 and I just can’t get over how good it is. What a turnaround their change to Apple Silicone has made, it’s actually wild to me.
MacBooks, specifically, are still expensive but actually value for money now.

Gaming@beehaw.org•Call to Power: How a Forgotten Civilization Spinoff Game Accurately Predicted the FutureEnglish
11 monthsI still hold Call to Power as the best “Civilisation” game. I started playing the actual Civilisation games from Civ3 onwards and was pretty consistently disappointed because most of the ‘new and exciting features’ had already been in CtP and were often DLC in Civ. Kind of wish a modern CtP would get released.

11 monthsOne of the biggest controversies at the start of all of this was Ubisoft pulling The Crew whilst pushing people to buy The Crew 2. Frankly it’s amazing we haven’t seen that more often with the near identical sequels such as the Madden, FIFA, F1 etc games.
No one’s forcing you to buy a remaster… unless they are because they revoke your right to play the original so it’s your only option.
Remasters and remakes will still happen but companies won’t have as much freedom to yoink a purchased product from your pocket years down the track in the name of some profit strategy.

1 yearSpacebar looks to be exactly what I’ve been looking for! Unfortunately, according to their FAQ the voice and video features aren’t implemented yet but here’s hoping that someone comes on-board to help set it up 🤞definitely an easy decision for a self hosted Discord alternative if that comes to fruition!
Did you just assume their syntax?!
(Chorus) Heave ho, Docker, and sail the binary sea, With containers all lined up, so light and free. From the code to the cloud, we’ll go with ease, In our trusty Docker ships, we sail the seas.
(Verse 1) Oh, the devs were a-struggling, in a stormy plight, With dependencies broken, things weren’t quite right. Then Docker sailed in, with a promise so bold, Of consistent environments, as good as gold.
(Chorus) Heave ho, Docker, and sail the binary sea, With containers all lined up, so light and free. From the code to the cloud, we’ll go with ease, In our trusty Docker ships, we sail the seas.
(Verse 2) We build and we ship, with our Docker compose, In our microservices, our confidence grows. With images light and containers so tight, We deploy in the morning, and sleep sound at night.
(Chorus) Heave ho, Docker, and sail the binary sea, With containers all lined up, so light and free. From the code to the cloud, we’ll go with ease, In our trusty Docker ships, we sail the seas.

Yeah, I don’t know who’s thinking Yhatzee is only doing positive reviews. I watch him regularly but I always keep in mind that it could be a 10/10 game that everyone loves and his show is predominantly about shitting on games so he’ll tear it to shreds for entertainment.
Is… more cowbell?
