• I didn’t even know that “BioShock Infinite good” was a hot take. I loved the story, and it’s somewhat open ended nature. That’s most of my friends’ takes as well

I finished it in like 3 sessions when it came out, couldn’t put it down

  • It wasn’t just good.

It’s a work of art. I replay it every 2-3 years and still have the soundtrack downloaded to my phone.

  • This game was great and had an absolutely amazing and emotional story. It was so unique and interesting. No idea why people criticize it. I’m not even gonna read the polygon article. Game was good af. Idc what anyone else says.

  • I thought the games fundamental gameplay wasn’t as fun as the first game. But the story was interesting

  • It was a fun game, I enjoyed it. Didn’t realize games needed to be accurate treatises on revolutionary political theory to be good.

  • Not really going to waste my time reading Polygon, but to answer the hypothetical question: I think most people agree it wasn’t a full on Bio/System Shock game, more a corridor shooter, but a decently fun one nonetheless. I think most of the complaints I’ve seen over the years were about some of the political aspects of the writing, not the gameplay itself.

  • It is high in my favourite games ever so I’d say, yes, it is good.

So not “is it a good game” but “is the story agreeable artistically and in its implications”
