lemmy.ml is even poorer branding, because the majority of newcomers who would attempt to join it will be turned down. At least on lemm.ee they would actually be able to create an account.

It is the wrong instance to link to then, because lemmy.ml has severely limited who are allowed to join it. That would just leave much more confusion and antagonism towards the concept of lemmy than the join lemmy page.

Still, the etiqutte is that they should be aware which community they are posting in. If you are browsing “all” you don’t bother to comment in every single thread you have no interest in that you are not interested in it.
