I have them, but prefer leverless controllers now for fighting games.

Vscode, despite its name, is a text editor and well suited imo for writing notes in markdown. I’d give it a go if you haven’t. There is an MIT-licensed build of it called Vscodium that you could use if you prefer that.

I’ve been using foam with vscode. It’s not programmable like Silverbullet is, though, I don’t think.
xep@discuss.onlinetoGaming@beehaw.org•Jeff Kaplan is sick of hearing you demonize games you weren't going to play anyway: 'Shut the f**k up. No one cares. We don't need to hear that you weren't into it'
3 monthsWe don’t care about your take either, Jeff. Now fuck off.

4 monthsPlease, remake the Steel Battalion controller too.
Compiling code to machine instructions is deterministic. That’s not the case with LLMs.

Thank you for entertaining my argument in good faith, it reminded me of my philosophy classes in university.

Linux@programming.dev•Bcachefs creator claims his custom LLM is 'fully conscious'
4 monthsIt doesn’t, and I think it leaves too little behind when it’s applied. But applying it tells us a great deal about LLMs and it also means that we can leave epistemological questions to a lazy Sunday afternoon.

4 monthsAlder’s Razor says that we should not dispute propositions unless they can be shown by precise logic and/or mathematics to have observable consequences. The calculator demonstrably and reproducibly performs mathematical operations.
Doesn’t really do anything for me. It doesn’t feel to me like it has changed all that much.
Sometimes I use it to translate to and from Japanese and English, does that count?
Coffee gives me heart palpitations, and I don’t drink much tea any more. Does that mean I have to hand in my programmer card? :(
Wish I hadn’t read this while drinking my tea.

4 monthsThe worst DB in existence, not to defend Oracle, is blockchain.
SORRY ARE WE WRITING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE SOMETHING ABOUT TRAITS REQUIRES IT OR IS IT BECAUSE I’M HARD OF HEARING?
Not sure how you managed to read that into what he said. There are some domains where there can be no sharing. It’s not down to diligence. Nobody can share anything and so LLMs don’t know anything. Pretty sure Finance is locked down in the same way as well.
And when the inevitable production issue occurs, we all have to clean up, senior or not.

I’ve discovered a new game I can play in my head where I append “, btw” on every Arch related title.
