Eaton. Supported by Nut, works with 50Hz as well as the 52Hz my emergency power puts out.

That’s how my GPU instances for reencoding connect to my self deployed seed box instances. Works just fine.

3 yearsYes. Now, if we could implement an irl place without all those people as well, I think I’d like that. Everything contains idiots but I find the overall company around here at least somewhat filtered of them.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What is the most efficient method to set up a home server?English
3 yearsYeah, those are awesome - but even with an ATX mainboard, a CPU and a few spinning disks it’s become easier to stay on this side of 40W.

3 yearsYeah - that has changed since then. Power usage in the 30 to 40W range is easily attainable of you take some care selecting the components.
Right? ME Andromeda felt really good for me, with the bases becoming more and more human friendly. I quite liked it.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•If you have spare computing power, consider donating some of that to a distributed computing projectEnglish
3 yearsAbout 1500€/kWp. If I calculate that everything explodes right after the extended warranty has run out, it’ll be about 0.13€ per kWh generated. I don’t think this will happen if course, but at 0.37€ per kWh from the grid it was a no-brainer with that as an upper limit for the energy price.

3 yearsEh, in summer my solar panels are shitting out so much energy that most things beneath 8kW power are basically free during the day. And I can only drive the car so much and use the A/C before I’m forced to almost donate it to the electricity company for 0.07€/kWh. Might as well turn it into cycles.

That sentence does not make any sense whatsoever. SATA and SAS are hot pluggable as well.
