We use it exclusively at work, it’s great for almost anything

That’s fair, I do have a cluster and failover and so it’s not really a problem
I run it in a VM and it’s great
I do basically the same thing, haven’t found a better solution

I’ve been with namecheap.com for over a decade and I have no complaints
I would generally agree with this a strong password and SSH without keys has never gone sideways for me and over 15 years of having public Linux servers. but I also make sure to install all security updates on a regular basis on any server no matter what SSH configuration is.
