The underlining is so inconsistent in this picture it looks like an AI did it.
I agree with most of his general sentiments, but I don’t really like him. He always comes off as a tad arrogant to me.
Ngl, that’s kinda hilarious (and sad at the same time)

Reddit@lemmy.world•Reddit paywalls to hit this year as paid subreddits confirmed
1 yearOF creators have to go through a rigorous process to verify themselves. I can’t imagine reddit doing anything close to that, but I might be wrong. If not, it will be a playground for scammers and stolen content.

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•TIFU by not using objects in my object-oriented programming coursework
2 yearsIs the class declared static? I assume the “…ic class Answer07” at the top stands for “public class Answer07”.
I don’t think java supports top level static classes (it does have nested static classes, though).

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•TIFU by not using objects in my object-oriented programming coursework
2 yearsTo be needlessly pedantic on this joke, answer07 in itself is not an object, but a class, a blueprint for objects. An instance of that class would be an object. Calling the static function main does also not create an instance of the class in the class loader.
I’m already less and less on reddit except for a few nieche subs. The day old.reddit is gone will be the last time I visit that site.

Reddit@lemmy.world•Reddit implemented a limit on old.reddit - 100 requests per 10 minutes
2 yearsI just read something about them trying to paywall some subs. That would not be a step, bit be a giant leap for a lot of people to abandon that shit hole.
Very useful. I’ll definitely going to use the ranking stuff.
It was sad to see that mods of a lot of subs had no backbone and reverted to normal after a few days of virtue signaling. However, not unexpected. Respect to the ones that didn’t give in to preserve their “power”.

You just know the bottom picture will be used in slides by professors for the next 30 years
