Also, your analogy makes 0 sense. I’m not saying that they haven’t popped up for me, I literally searched for them and found no videos or thumbnails that matched your description. If you google scams you’ll find lots of examples.

I just searched for palworld videos and found literally 0 videos with a thumbnail that fits that description. Also, a shitty thumbnail to get more clicks is a common practice. It doesn’t mean that people want or support AI. Not to mention that, for all you know, those images could’ve been generated manually.

There’s nothing “absolutistic” about my “stance”. If you’re rusty using a language, you won’t get better if someone else does the homework for you. Make an effort, make mistakes, write in a way that sounds weird, who cares. But practice. If you only take the easy way out, that’ll be your only option in the future.

Although, like I already said, that’s MY way of thinking about it. If you want to use ai to write your stuff, you do you. It doesn’t negate the fact that, whle it’s not “wrong”, it’s the lazy (or minimum effort) option. Don’t know why it bothers you so much.

Third, no, it’s not an awful take. You can code something that requires a ton of effort but write awful documentation. One thing does not make the other impossible.

Fourth, I already explained that there have already been studies that concluded that using AI to write stuff for you has a negative impact on your communication skills. This is not an opinion or me being ingrateful or whatever. I was just sharing information.

There are tons and tons of websites where you can create an account with just your email. I wouldn’t expect a third party account to be mandatory. Specially from a product like this one.

You’re discussing a completely different use case from what I said. RegEx can be increidbly useful but it’s not always the only/best option.

Not even close. Sometimes you can have a large text file where you need to do a find replace with a pattern. For example, in the translation world this can be a common occurrence for translation files (.xliff) or translation memories (.tmx).

There’s a reason why this is widely used and it’s not because everyone else but you is dumb.

Hard disagree. The function regex serves in programs like Notepad++ can’t be easily replaced by “writing it out in code”. With a very small number of characters you can get complex search patterns and capturing groups. It’s hard to read but incredibly useful.

Yes and no? Being a niche product, I feel like there should be a diy option where you get all of the parts as a kit for a reduced price. Maybe 30-35USD would make more sense. At 70 I would not even consider this product tbh.
