I have no idea. I didn’t even trust it on my main home network. Connected it to my guest network so it couldn’t scan my home network. Which it tried to do, if course.

Clamshell mode. External monitor, lid closed. My issue was that I could not tell it to sleep when not in use, because their IT disabled sleep to ensure their corporate spyware was always running.

I recently quit a company that does. They hid that until after I accepted and started. I quit out of frustration after a couple weeks of having to listen the the fan all day due to their surveillance and telemetry running. They even disabled sleep mode, so you either had to leave that thing phoning home 24/7, or forcibly shut down every day. 10 minute boot time on a brand new laptop.

6 monthsI upgraded o an RTX5050 just before all the prices skyrocketed. Glad I did, and also glad I didn’t go for the higher end cards at the time. I’ve been quite impressed at the stability and graphics quality while dipping into Linux gaming.

YAML whitespace is cursed
YAML is cursed and shouldn’t exist. I will die on that hill, with either 4 whitespaces or a tab to back me up.

This is specific to the GH REST API I think, not operations like doing a git clone to copy a repo to local machine, etc.

They make you sign in to use search, on code anyways.
Does SSH have to be your only way? Could you deploy something like Tailscale? Can you restrict the allowed IP ranges on SSH with a firewall rule?
YoutubeDL-Material would fit the bill

2 yearsWhen developers commit source code to a shared repository (for integration in software people like us use), they have the often-squandered opportunity to summarize the changes they are submitting. Linus (rightfully) thinks this opportunity should be leveraged more appr9opriately and more often, with more quality.

It sounds like they are working in a standard contact center, to me. It’s sad how much control/surveillance contact center managers wield over the agents. There are good companies out there, but for contact centers, they are unicorns, not the norm. The norm is “track every second, scrutinize any time waste”.

NextDNS.
Also, be wary of relying on anything blocking ads on streaming services this way. They will likely serve them within the video stream, so not network-blockable.

Apple is the least terrible of my list.

Eh, more like they are having a lawyer help determine whether they comply or not (to avoid being sued/held liable for non-compliance).
