that doesn’t usually work when copying between different Microsoft products. it always fucks it up somehow or simply doesn’t let you

…it having a bottom is how it works.
the vibrations carry through the glass and into your ear that is pressed against the bottom. it works.

yeah
and like why does it crash? it worked fine on Windows 10

I do that too sometimes lol but I’m just not a fan
if it were actual releases, yeah totally. but it’s just temporary files

so I actually use various different systems depending on my mood that day.
maybe I add a dash, maybe I use another decimal, maybe I use alpha characters.
none of it matters because they’re wiped out a few hours later

that’s with the assumption that the smallest increment was used every time
I sometimes increment things by adding the next decimal place
note: I am not a developer, just a dude making tools at work. but I somehow always end up incrementing something now and then from 1.21 to 1.211 because I wanted to avoid the “1.21 new actually newest” situation and bumping to 1.22 didn’t make sense. it’s like temporary versioning for me, WIP files

Oh I absolutely think that our IT should be handling this, but that is a weak point at our company (just big enough to use an external company).
I’ve done my time as tech support for this company, I’m not doing that shit anymore.
and regardless of group policies being able to handle this, this shouldn’t be reinstalled anyways if I’ve already uninstalled it.
yeah but they’re not doing just security updates, they’re re-installing bloatware that I deleted a year ago
I don’t need Xbox gaming on my work computer
what’s the difference to storing it on a company’s platform?
sign a thing that says there’s nothing illegal in it. done.

there is a ton of shadow banning going on too I think, just completely discouraging for new real users
though they have identified me and my main devices and IP, I have created accounts on unrelated devices in an unrelated location and still been unable to make posts successfully. yes, they make show up to my user logged in, but not to anyone else

yep, they don’t want actual content now

oh baby it hasn’t even gotten started (relatively)

Reddit@lemmy.world•Reddit Is Now Autobanning Any Promotion Of The 2nd AmendmentEnglish
6 monthshow are you making throwaway emails? I found that a pita when I was trying to make an account (after they IP banned me or whatever) so I could access a few specific communities for help
reddit seemed to insta shadowban my account if I used any of those temp email generators, and creating an actual email on a mainstream service takes annoyingly long

yeah but when I do that, people get mad at me and ask “why number so big”, then when I explain they say “ok but what if there aren’t any issues” and then they make schedules based on that clearly incorrect number
- 6 months
hmm. I wonder if that was what was happening to me
it hasn’t happened since my ex moved out, so there’s less traffic…
but I think it actually stopped before that.

how does flaking out present itself?
I had an issue for a long time where the pihole seemed to be bricking the network, and combined with the Eero mesh it was a pain to bring back online each time due to order of operations restarting devices and enabling/disabling DNS on the router

we dealt with similar stuff at our company as the design team grew. amazing how far simple systems can get you with basic practices and common sense.
now with triple the team size and a few less than extremely competent people, we have tons of file management issues, even though there are more processes in place to avoid them. I hate it.

yeah I don’t even bother with adding it to search terms anymore
