What do you mean by ‘anything changed’? I only ask because I installed the AIO and haven’t had an issue. Admittedly we’re only using it for file sharing, the defaults were pretty much left as is. Does it tend to shit the bed the more non-default stuff is enabled or installed?

Linux@programming.dev•What are the more obscure independent linux distros?English
3 monthsBedrock Linux is a meta Linux distribution which mixes-and-matches components from other distributions and integrates them into one largely cohesive system.
…
Traditional Linux distributions distribute software which includes the Linux kernel. This is done with the aim of providing users a Linux based operating system.
Meta Linux distributions share the eventual goal of a Linux based operating system, but do so in a means other than distributing the end-goal software itself.
Other meta Linux distributions include:
- Linux From Scratch which provides a set of instructions to build a Linux system.
- Gentoo Linux which provides a flexible system which can compile the user’s desired Linux system. Gentoo describes itself as a metadistribution.
Bedrock provides a means to compose a target of the user’s desired system from a potentially eclectic mix of parts of other distros.

Linux@programming.dev•KaOS Linux Drops KDE Plasma After 12 Years for Niri/Noctalia to Escape systemdEnglish
4 monthsIt could come down to resources and personnel. Before moving to fedora I used KDE with gento/openrc (systemd was an option, I just wasn’t familiar with it). I could only do that because someone or a team of people maintained it. Not every distro will necessarily be able to keep up.
Or maybe they just don’t like systemd.
Nice catch.

Too late for me to look up the answers so I’m hoping someone else can do my homework while I’m sleeping.

Our small mail server is doing OK. Incoming spam is an issue but not a massive problem. Outgoing spam doesn’t exist. Once a year the IP ends up on the Microsoft blocklist but using the deliverability form to submit mitigation requests is easy enough and takes half a day or so to sort out.
I’m looking forward to seeing what the Thunderbird team does with Stalwart.
That reminds me I’ve been meaning to spin up a server, install Stalwart and test it out.

How does this help with something like a mail server for a small org? Honest question.

1 yearVery cool. Are you meant to be piloting a Mark II or is it another fighter? It seems like the cockpit is far more exposed than what I imagine being in a Mark II to feel like. It’s almost like you’re on a surfski or canoe in space.

I’ve recently retired an old aio to be our tv using libreelec. There’s a new-ish bundled skin called copacetic which is highly configurable and I’m slowly organising the interface to move away from the conventional menu style interface that most other skins still use to something more like the interface of a steaming service. Copacetic has a video that demos some of what you can do.
