As someone who’s been using Linux for around 12 years now, I just came back to Mint a while ago and it’s a good choice for close to everyone I reckon.

I used pretty much all the major distros and some niche ones as well, but in the end I want a PC that does PC things without having to fuck around all the time. Mint does exactly that, it just works.

That being said, feel free to mess around with live USBs, try some distros on an old laptop etc, it’s good fun and you might find something you really like.

As a long time Ubuntu touch supporter and tester, I unfortunately have to say that it simply isn’t ready for a lot of users at the moment :(

Even if you’re willing to put up with most of its shortcomings, VoLTE device support is extremely limited.

But don’t get me wrong, I REALLY want this stuff to be the future, I think it just needs a bit more time.

Heroic seems to work better in my experience, although I guess it might vary from distro to distro and probably also depends on the games you want to play

I use Ollama+Open WebUI to create the most fucked AI characters to have a laugh at when chilling with mates lol

Can be good fun if you’re a bit of a nerd
