It’s always possible, but not often practical, especially when you don’t have permission to drill holes in those concrete walls.
I suppose you could do surface runs, but those are ugly and more vulnerable to physical damage.

Only a quarter of the country actively voted for this.
And among those, I’d bet only a small portion actually understood what they were voting for. There are a lot of unthinking voters who only vote R because that’s what their entire family has always done.
That said, I still put a lot of blame on the apathetic idiots who couldn’t be bothered to get off their ass to vote at all.
.
The worse thi gs get and the more people start directly feeling the impacts, the more support you will se for taking action

Trump would not elaborate on what he meant by his threat
That’s on-brand for him.
It’s just vague posturing. A concept of a plan for a threat at most.

Well yeah, they’ve been doing this for decades.
And not only in Canada. Pretty much anywhere there are Chinese students or expats.

Unless this is a different interview than I heard, he refused to say that Trump and Vance were lying about it.
The R beside his name wouldn’t let him call them out directly.

China’s labour market has also grown less competitive
AKA, their people are starting to get paid a bit better than other more easily exploited people in some other countries.

Trump would never willingly plead incompetence
Could a court find that way, even if Trump didn’t try to invoke it?

It should be a wakeup call to any country where right wing populists are trying to gain power.
I fear most will just look at the situation with Trump and say “it can’t happen here” while ignoring who the local populist are taking inspiration from.

Just let it go and enjoy the rest of your life.
Nope. Not when my kids will have to try and survive in the shitshow they are being handed.
It’s my responsibility to do as much as I am able to try and mitigate as much of the the damage as possible.
For their sake, if not for the collective good.

It is still possible to fix any of these problems.
But not if we collectively throw up our hands and give up.

Privatization and the ensuing lack of investment in the infrastructure are (and always have been) a large contributing factor.
When you add an additional stressor to the system (like the increasing impacts of climate change), the lack of resilience will show itself.

No surprise. Any war is largely decided on ability to maintain supplies.
