Reddit@lemmy.world•r/The_Donald helped radicalize users into far-right identities and discourse – Active users on r/The_Donald increasingly used white nationalist vocabularies in their comments within three months.

I see you you’ve decided to take the road of not reading anything that has been said. There’s no bad usability OR lack of features for literally anyone relevant to these platforms.
This isn’t the job of a Git repository nor is it for GitHub, this is an issue for developers which shouldn’t use it as their main download way.
The download zip is not meant for the average person and frankly useless for most projects. I don’t know why you expect a Git repository to explain to you that bare code isn’t compiled or plug and play? How would GitHub know other than you informing them that the app isn’t for Windows?
I don’t think you understand the concept of what Git and GitHub even are and their intentions.

2 yearsNo, that’s quite literally not what I said. I said what I wrote, don’t try and read in-between that.

2 yearsIncredibly unlucky to have picked you as a small example, I guess. I’d also like to inform you that deleted comments can still be very easily viewed by most apps by selecting different copy options, it’s a weird thing.

2 yearsIt’s kind of the whole goal of using giant letters like you have in your display name isn’t it? I’m honestly failing to come up with another reason.
I wouldn’t say you’re being put on display, you’re just an example between the many there are.

2 yearsThey’ve used your literal public name from a public post you made as an innocent example for their feature request, you are being insanely weird about this and you’re only directing attention to yourself while otherwise no one would’ve cared now.

It wouldn’t have been if it kept to the original purpose of some simple tasks and such, but we can’t have nice things.
Fair, I just don’t like it even when it’s humorous as it still speaks of a language in a bad way.
Also, if you use a Unix system to build your projects I can recommend you check out Mold if you haven’t yet as it speeds up the linking significantly.
I don’t think you should criticize a language that you clearly have not even learnt the syntax of. Dependencies are also a one-time compile and linking just your own program or library does not take very long, and if you’ve ever worked with C languages it’s all the same.
Just because you don’t know how to read a languages syntax doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s just like how you have to learn anything else. Rust is quite self-explanatory afterwards.

Because the other languages use more characters on average like it says?
There has to be some kind of good feature locked behind to make money, you can use a different program to do this anyways.

You know that all Apple devices are Unix too? You’re not making a point and do not know what you’re talking about.

Ohh I get it, it’s so hilarious that no one knew it was a joke!
I guess you can always laugh at it yourself.
