When I first discovered them, they blew my mind - so many great links! What are some of the lesser well known, but still great lists?
The worst code I’ve ever seen (by a longshot) was written in php.

Sounds like a great first question! Go for it!
Thanks will do all that!
Start now! Install it, get a python environment up and running if you haven’t already, and get that first stupid project working which you work outwards from!
I’ve just re-discovered ollama and it’s come on a long way and has reduced the very difficult task of locally hosting your own LLM (and getting it running on a GPU) to simply installing a deb! It also works for Windows and Mac, so can help everyone.
I’d like to see Lemmy become useful for specific technical sub branches instead of trying to find the best existing community which can be subjective making information difficult to find, so I created !Ollama@lemmy.world for everyone to discuss, ask questions, and help each other out with ollama!
So, please, join, subscribe and feel free to post, ask questions, post tips / projects, and help out where you can!
Thanks!
And then comes the enshittification, like, ya know, Android.
Most people never create even one world-changing technology, Linus casually created two (Linux + Git).
And don’t downplay that he did swear about Microsoft and Nvidia!
Thanks, when I get some time soon, I’ll have another look at it and cherry ai with a local install of ollama
Any suggestions for solutions?
You’re conflating me asking how to use these tools with you who’s misusing them. I see you still don’t accept what you’re doing is wrong. But go you.
Please be very careful. The python code it’ll spit out will most likely be outdated, not work as well as it should (the code isn’t “thought out” as if a human did it.
If you want to learn, dive it, set yourself tasks, get stuck, and f around.
Yeah shell scripts are one of those things that you never remember how to do something and have to always look it up!
Was this system vibe coded? I get the feeling it was…
lol. Way to contradict yourself.
I haven’t actually found the coder-specific ones to be much (if at all) better than the generic ones. I wish I could have. Hopefully LLMs can become more efficient in the very near future.
Some questions and because you don’t actually understand, also, the answers.
I mean yeah, it’s a use case, but own up to the fact that you’re wrong. Or be pissy. I don’t care.
Doesn’t Twitch own all data that is written and their TOS will state something like you can’t store data yourself locally.
Indeed. Try making something with Symfony and you’re going to have to adhere to strict theoretical guidelines that encourages you to write 200 10-line files, for a simple application. Use Drupal and well, you’re going to spend ten years just to understand how it all works on that pathetic joke, use laravel and as opinionated as it is, it’s probably going to make a lot more sense to you in ten months time.
Unless, you want to do something in the database other than basic CRUD. That’s when ugly hacks are needed.
