6 monthsJust so you’re aware, it is very noticeable that you also used AI to help write this post and its use of language can throw a lot of people off.
Not to detract from your project, which looks cool!

Reddit@lemmy.world•"Reddit employee" scared that people are gonna move to Lemmy soon.
11 monthsI mean, depending on which instance they joined they could’ve just as easily stepped into an even smaller echo chamber. Lemmy as a concept isn’t magically free from them.

Reddit@lemmy.world•I think Reddit is trying to shift their platform into a media sharing social (like Instagram) rather than a discussion forum
1 yearMy pet conspiracy is that there’s been such a drop-off in text-only posts on the popular subreddits (maliciouscompliance, pettyrevenge, etc.) that reddit themselves is running AI generated age bait on those subs now to increase engagement.

1 yearReddit sapped small forums and discord finished them off.
Some context so we don’t wade into misinformation territory here: in the earlier days any mod on a subreddit could add any other user as a mod, without their consent or knowledge.
There’s plenty of true bad stuff to witch hunt that asshole for, let’s not get ourselves dismissed for being gullible people who’ll twist anything to fit our narrative.
Sort of. Headscale is an OSS component that replaces the SAAS Tailscale component but it’s not a full replacement. It’s still pretty dang good though.

Is there typically such a massive difference between using http://local_ip:3000 and https://speed.mydomain.com?
Only if they resolve to different addresses.
Notably, it does not appear that they have posted the AI responses, just used the posts as input for internal processes.

Supabase is often mentioned. It’s open source and has a free tier, though it is VC driven so I’m sure it’ll enshittify at some point.
I would add: until it doesn’t.

Given it was the only easy way to protest something as community moderators you bet!

It doesn’t look AI at first glance, the dudes are too out of focus. What makes you say it’s AI?
