Linux@programming.dev•Have you or someone close to you converted to Linux recently (with Windows 10's end of support)?
8 monthsI have some programs that require Windows (still running 10 with ESU) but my Mint partition is now my daily driver.
Microsoft doesn’t want me to use Windows. Win10 is almost expired, and my laptop doesn’t support Win11.

You appear to have labeled your Lemmy account as a bot account.

This breach was, in fact, very preventable. Plex didn’t need to force users to authenticate with a central server to access their own self-hosted media in the first place.
Mostly vscode, and GitHub desktop for projects that I don’t use vscode for. I want to learn how to use the CLI, I just didn’t get around to it yet.

reddit forced all subreddits openwhen the API debacle occurred.FTFY
I’ve seen way worse that doesn’t even result in a comment removal, let alone a whole subreddit getting banned.

Reddit@lemmy.world•I Got permanently banned from a subreddit I liked and was a long time member of because I accidentally reposted something that was already posted on there before
2 yearsNot that I don’t believe you, but where’s the rest of the ban message?
The mods that stayed want to keep their power, they’re not going to allow links to communities they’re not moderating.
They were never able to delete communities.
