They promised $50k, what happened?

It looks contradictory but there is logic to it. They want hierarchies, just like there was before - where Christian white men are on top and everyone else has no rights. Those are the “traditional values” they want to uphold. If you filter everything through that lens, their actions start to make sense. Technically this isn’t called conservatism (since this isn’t about a monarchy), but that’s the label they gave it.

Yup because they’re anti education.

The computer savvy folks don’t need to be reminded. The non savvy folks who don’t have time to learn Linux are stuck with windows/apple.

I started using lemmy originally because of old.lemmy. It literally felt like what reddit was 14 years ago. Very nostalgic.

I just don’t respond to hostile comments on Reddit or here. It makes life much easier. It saves me time too - if my comment is 2 sentences and someone replies to me with 2 very lengthy paragraphs, I just pass.
