yeah I have a reddit account that I’ve made like 3 comments and 1 post on but that’s more so I don’t get annoying “you need to be signed in to view this” messages :/
by the way if you need to view reddit on a VPN look up “redlib” it’s a alternative frontend UI that doesn’t block VPNs and is super helpful if I want to look something sketchy up in incognito mode with a VPN

I read the whole article and I’m still kinda confused what the “we” in the title is referring to.

Also and addition to the ‘non disabled people pushing for accomodations even when it isn’t needed then not listening to the disabled people’ conversation, /s should only be used when the sarcasm isn’t obvious.

The entire r/fuckthes sub is autistic people saying how it ruins jokes then non autistic people saying “nO iTs FoR pEoPlE wItH aUtIsM” and saying the sub is ableist and its so annoying how they won’t listen to the very people they’re claiming to fight for.

Not to say I think /s is useless, it definitely has a place when sarcasm is iffy, a good example is making fun of conservatives where people might think you’re serious.

Also the /hj (half joking) one is SO infuriating because there’s 2 halves and one of them is a joke but it doesn’t say which one. It’s never really been an issue for me personally, but it’s a bad system that gets on my nerves.

thats such a miniscule reason to ban someone that it makes my silly ban seem reasonable

I pissed off a mod on a large sub and got a ban for “ban evasion” (BS, i only had 1 account)
I later deleted and recreated my account to change the name I chose when I was like 13 (I kept being called a furry) and forgot to block the large sub and accidentally sent a comment when browsing r/all

at that point I was like 50/50 with Lemmy so I just hopped all the way over and it’s been about a year since :)

iirc the app keeps your hardware ID stored. you can bypass it with a browser but reddit is going down the drain there’s no point.

that’s how you know a q&a platforms bad at it’s job lol

hmmm I don’t really care about having a logo on my undershorts. Usually I’m really bothered about advertisements but in that circumstance it doesn’t really bother me.

you are correct, I have been known to somehow kill a cactus or two.

Spider plants are going insane though, dispute losing >50% of them to the cold and rain this winter they are still living just fine. They’re like the plant version of cockroaches

so small and bitter but you just smile through it and say “it’s so good! 😢”?
