Capitalism encourages and rewards greed. Societies needs to organize around elevation of the overall quality of life, not around a system that rewards our worst impulses.

AI isn’t the problem. AI in a capitalist system is the problem. People don’t need to do jobs that aren’t necessary any more to survive unless you are in a capitalist system that puts profit over society. People need to be taken care of regardless of their “value” to the capitalist machine. Communism focuses on allocating resources to all people because people deserve to be taken care of as part of a functioning society. If we didn’t live in a harsh capitalist system of exploitation of labor, AI would be seen as a way to further enhance society and would be developed responsibly.

It lives on an isolated VLAN with traffic routed through a VPN service on a dedicated NAS for movies. If someone gets into it, they’ll get no personal info but my movies.

Jellyfin works fine. No point paying for Plex.

Fuck Reddit. Only time I even care about it anymore is if I google search a tech issue and reddit comes up in the results. It’s a cesspool of AI accounts and trolls for most things these days.

That only happens from incompetence or bad IPAM software. It’s easy to assign a static in most management systems. As long as you set up the static in your router correctly, it should just stay.

The oligarchs are getting nervous. Good. I hope they are a scared. Fuck their platforms and their false backing of “free speech.”

That describes all capitalist businesses. They always eventually cannibalize their own customers and services once growth slows.
