Conspiracy was the catch-all for several years when they shut down TheDonald and various other right leaning subs. Now its mostly just bots, trash, propaganda, and mod approved content making it to hot. It used to be an interesting place in the years before that and you can still occasionally find something interesting if sorting by new.
On iPhone wefwef is nearly as good as sync and similar to apollo for reddit.

Of course the marketing dept of large companies and sports leagues work directly with reddit. They also have the ability to sponsor and boost organic posts, place top comments etc…
I live in a large city and as of last year I have two choices for high speed home internet. I was paying $70/month for 300/20 with cable, now I have fiber and pay $70/month for 300/300. At least the first year was cheaper as a new customer and the faster upload speed is helpful for work from home.
Still use reddit and twitter for sports news and updates and a few fringe topics and I read only. Shut down my reddit account around 2019 and only have a twitter account because its a pain to view stuff if not logged in. Have never posted anything there.
Sync was the best reddit app on an Android tablet and is the best lemmy app on that device as well. Lots of customization available.
I dunno, the tablet is mostly for couch browsing and I just got used to Sync on that device.
I’m using wefwef on iPhone, nothing on my Android tablet yet. Waiting for Sync.
For now old.reddit still works.
This is unfortunate, these NUC are inexpensive and reliable for the conference room.
This is why we do nightly automatic backups on all sites. Whatever happens we can just restore to the previous night and you never lose more than a day of work. Backup plans and redundancy is a waste of money to management, accounting, and customers until they need it.
