So Lennart didn’t have a problem with systemd being prepared to comply with some local legislation , then refused the revert because “don’t bring this conversation here”. I am calling bullshit

Yup. Worst part? We’ve produced people who make this justified: users and idiotic managers (really hard for me to estimate which of them are bigger source of shit). And we keep producing them

I no understand nano. I hate key combinations
What a nice way to say “I can’t back my standpoint up”. Anyway, do have a good day
Lol. Go on, show me how it is easier to understand structure of the code when I am 3 levels down, first two are already out of sight
No, it is an argument against it. We indent code so that it is more comfortable to read it, not in order to make it easier to understand
Human and machine read differently. If you ignore that (in case with indentation), then why bother with writing human-friendly form of code, when what is going to be really executed is something else?
Because I am not counting white space when I read. Or should we just write machine code/assembler/pick something straight away?
Just don’t use inheritance where more than a few descendants are predicted
Now I’m almost considering learning the language

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•What a joke, can't believe people still voluntarily use this OS
5 monthsAs I’ve been enlightened recently, “but you see, it’s hard to create a .desktop link in GNOME, so microslop rulez”
Yeah, I can hardly believe my eyes
Which is why in my Windows days I got a habit of turning computer off with Windows + R --> shutdown -s -f -t 0
Windows just works, my ass :)
they can be automatically moved to have parent 1 or something like that, so only way to kill them is a reboot. But personally I am yet to setup a stationary (uh, not a laptop) computer and see how it works for me without poweroff at the end of the day
Windows:
- program refuses to shutdown
- system: okay, guess you don’t need your computer to turn off anyway

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•y'all are gonna hate me for this, but it's the truth
6 monthsAbout sums it up:)

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•y'all are gonna hate me for this, but it's the truth
6 monthsSo you have no evidence or anything else of substance to prove that your statements are true. Have a good day

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•y'all are gonna hate me for this, but it's the truth
6 monthsLol. Once again: I am not getting an explanation, see hallucinated functions and packages (that never happened, right?)
I know what I am doing, which is exactly why I get paid for my code.
And we know a lot more about how we think than you imagine, lol. Like, humans do not think in words. But you did not know that, did you?

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•y'all are gonna hate me for this, but it's the truth
6 monthsExcept you are not getting an explanation. Sheesh, do we really need to go all over the “token prediction machine is unable to understand” iteration, again?

Nah. Any use is “fair use”, thanks
