Anyone having seen the movie Real Genius will appreciate Kent talking to God.
Since I invariably wind up getting “name suits” types of comments, here’s the explanation behind it:
Around the turn of the millennium, I was trying to come up with a username to use on a particular site that had a shortish character count limit for usernames. My goal was something related to the fact that I would often be making my points in arguments with “holier-than-thou” types by taking what they were saying, and turning it on its head so the offensive stuff was directed back at them.
I also happened to learn shortly beforehand that many years ago “'ape” was somewhat commonly used as a verb to mean “imitate” or “copy.”
I’m sure you can figure the rest out.

They still exist? How did Trump miss them?
Yes, but there were so many different cable standards that you weren’t always sure you had the right one on hand. USB has been such a godsend that the young’ns will never fully appreciate.
Banana plugs are a thing, and might even have plugged into the hole on the RCA jacks (probably not as they’re usually too wide, but it’s technically possible… I think - never tried it myself). However, they’re single conductors, not dual like RCA plugs are.

ETA: And, yes - I’m aware of the recent Tom’s Hardware article you’re referencing.
Before the mid-to-late 1990s, on the other hand…
Hey, at least it’s copper instead of aluminum.
You can see enough to tell it’s an I (in), not an O (out) - plus the fact there’s only room for one more letter behind the copper, as demonstrated by the hidden P in “TAPE” above. Having dealt with this sort of equipment enough in my life, those were really the only two possibilities.
Headphone jack is an output. The jack they’ve hotwired is an input.

“Accelerate growth” - business jargon for “enshittification.”

It does, however, demonstrate just how much ill will Reddit has engendered towards itself that it was so easy to trigger the publication of such a story on (what I think is) not an entirely unknown or untrusted site. The frustration levels with Reddit are running high, and it doesn’t take much to spark more animosity towards the site.
With the limits of longevity still being pushed, I’d suggest sticking with the OP binary search theme and start at 64.
At 16, she was FAT.
At 32, she was still FAT32.
But by 64, she was exFAT.
I’d say “sure!” Then amaze them with how good and quick I am by telling them an hour or two later to "try it now "
What you describe sounds more like a “competence” issue than a skill issue - can’t have the latter without first having the former.

Well, it’s certainly an interesting method of self-promotion to those that bother caring enough to read that part. If it is a malware host, then those reading that far are also probably more conscious of the possibility of it being such so I’m not sure how effective it’d actually be.
Of course you being the one pointing it out could be considered sus…

He hasn’t killed anyone (yet… that we know of), so presumably there’s a chance at redemption somewhere down the line - especially when you consider the fact “never” is a mighty long time.
