I got banned for the same reason after a comment that contained a direct, attributed quote from Donald trump. TBF he is a hateful little shit so I probably should have known better.

Yeah, I was on Reddit way back, like many who have left I was very active, like half a mil karma, bla bla. Didn’t get banned, the API thing was the final straw for me. I’ve been on Lemmy since then and prefer it. Also, whilst I contribute here I spend less of my time on Lemmy, which means I’m reading more books and stuff. Leaving Reddit was absolutely the right decision. I think sunk cost keeps a lot of people there, even though karma isn’t a real thing and the site is turning to shit.

I’d like to find a phone that isn’t, mine is certainly full of crap I don’t want.
Yeah, I played it a lot, and a similar one called aviator which was a kinda flight sim. There wasn’t really much of an internet back then but stuff was easy to copy on tapes.

Just wanted some attention, eh?

Yeah, I think you’re exactly right. Now he’s seeing consequences - particularly the affect on the Tesla brand - and realised he’s shat the bed. So he’s thinking ‘If I can make those photos go away, people will forget it happened.’
Yeah, lotsa luck with that.
I kinda like that it’s smaller here in terms of content and users. I left reddit back at the API thing, I’d been on there over ten years and was spending easily an hour or two a day on there. Here, I pop in, check it out, get a similar experience - but I don’t get stuck in endless scrolling or stupid arguments. Instead I’m reading more books.

Ah, didn’t realise it had been abandoned. Shame, I’ve been using it a while, and I used the reddit version up until the API thing. I guess I can understand the dev becoming frustrated with a lot of work for a small audience.

If it’s any help, I use the sync app on android. I also used sync for reddit prior to the API thing which finally made me leave, so my experience is pretty much the same in terms of format. I agree it can feel weird in a browser but there’s a bunch of good mobile apps that might feel more familiar.
What about basic and assembly? Even Pascal?
Yeah I’ve not done any coding in a while.

Hell, I chipped in for reddit gold. I’m not well off, I just used the platform loads and didn’t mind paying a little for something I enjoyed. Like so many others, my goodwill was pissed on, though, and I am just another paying customer that they lost. The API thing was the final nail in the coffin for me.
Get drunk?
