It’s a ploy for their users to take out their anger and hope it passes.
Things don’t happen overnight. I have noticed this platform improving as time goes on. I find incredible content with authentic, real discussion here. Everyday the content grows and the conversation threads become longer and more varied.
It will grow if you let it.

3 yearsWe need to just let reddit die as a sign to all other executives that their customers are the ones who hold the cards.

3 yearsLmao you sweet summer child. You think firing him will do shit? The company has cancer. They are trying to go public. Nothing is going to fix whats wrong with the company now. It’s terminal.
This is how it goes.
Company makes good product.
Company goes public.
Company becomes shit.
Company dies.Rinse and repeat.
Best to just let them die. The ultimate revenge is not thinking about that site at all. Let them fade into obscurity.
Nothing lasts forever. Especially when it’s purposely destroyed from the inside out.
Reddit is going to become irrelevant shortly. How sad.

3 yearsThank you! I can’t believe that. So it basically wants to know literally everything about you. That’s so disgusting and creepy. We need privacy laws that protect against stuff like this, yesterday.
I can see them requesting city, but beyond that, this is wayyyy too much.

3 yearsThe emergence of every website being gated, requiring an account and sla subscription. Also the rise of rediculous personalized advertisements and user tracking.
