So that’s a very common mistake to the point you could argue it isn’t one anymore, but originally it’s “Junglist massive”.

So the actual equivalent is testing directly on humans.
What I meant is I tried to Google homebrew smart remote and found nothing. I do have understanding of the concepts and was looking for the specifics :)
I tried googling some of this but I must be misunderstanding the thread, mind ELI5 for the rest of us? ^_^’

10 monthsI apologize for my compatriots, they can certainly be nasty with tourists. Have you been outside Paris as well? It’s no guarantee but you may have better luck in other regions.

10 monthsDon’t worry we know you’re not all the same. But yes, some of you, dear god…

10 monthsNot at all, as soon as you opened your mouth you would be “that American guy”. In fact, I probably wouldn’t even need to hear your voice and would spot you from your clothing/accessories first already.

10 monthsYeah British is the standard response where I’m from, specifically groups of “lads” or “lasses” that get super fucked up and make a mess in the city center, sometimes for bachelor(ette) parties.
Blast from the past right there.
Class of 23’ represeeeent. I feel like we were still the biggest batch so far, no?
Yep, I’m European, I had my savings in a world ETF until last week when I pulled them out. Right now, they’d be higher than they were when I sold. Does it hurt a bit? Sure. Do I even consider going back in? Fuck no.
This kinda volatility is great if you’re a degenerate gambler or have the insider knowledge. I’m neither of these things and I’m in a personal situation where I don’t know when I’m gonna need these funds, ideally it’s in 20/30 years but no guarantees, and also I’m not in a position to keep buying monthly right now and since the last couple of years.
Now I’m just gonna sit on it for a while, and find ways to park my savings as far from the US as possible, certainly not in a world fund anymore which are 60/70% US exposure.
Congrats, they successfully pushed me and many like me out of the market so they can keep “the game” to themselves.

Reddit@lemmy.world•Nobody is really talking about Reddit dropping value since they banned Luigi posts and sided with Musk to remove communities
1 yearIt could indicate that investors don’t like these moves and see it as a risk for the future of the company. Or it could indicate that line goes up or down randomly, who knows, not the folks on wall street that’s for sure.

They’re gonna have such a hard time parsing this for WoW… WoW gold is a major part of the game and they’ve been screwing with it for a while now, I don’t play it anymore but I heard about possibilities to buy tokens that you sell for gold in game but conversely you can also use the gold to buy game time or something? And then off course all the DLC stuff, it’s gonna be complicated for sure.

Reddit@lemmy.world•Is anyone else noticing an uptick in far-right content and Russian propaganda on reddit lately?
1 yearYeah I have to heavily curate my YouTube but if you do it’s still full of really great stuff. I also have to keep myself on top of it, it’s easy to let yourself slip into trash content now and then.
The comments are pretty universally bad though, even on the good content.
I’m thinking keep the horizontal one at the bottom and put 3 vertical ones over it, now the vertical one is all the way over there.
I’ve watched asmongold a bit on and off over the years, and I don’t think that he himself is really right wing (unless that changed recently), more just a no-filter, full-on basement dweller but mostly apolitical. Can’t say it’s really surprising if some of the audience has the 4chan vibe though. Never participated/cared about the chat or the subreddit though.
It’s probably “automated” but some poor sales rep still needs to do a bunch of work to keep the automation going, guarantee it.

Beyond his interest in FOSS and privacy, he’s also just mellowed out a ton, the dude is in his mid (late?) thirties and you can tell.
