1 yearCorrect, they could do without, which is why I rely on Plex’s transcoded downloads to cram a cross-country flight’s worth of stuff onto their iPads.
Good suggestion though.

1 yearI’m not so much nitpicking Jellyfin as I am highlighting how crucial transcoded downloads are for my use case, and attempting to get you to have empathy for that use case.
Like, based on the headline I was ready to try out Jellyfin because fuck Plex, but alas, I can’t bail just yet.
Maybe being silent on the matter is best, people asking for features is a dumb way to improve software.

1 yearThis is a huge problem. The blueray remux might be 80 gigs. Most children’s devices will already be filled with other crap.

1 yearIf you’re an Apple user the AppleTV is exactly this. It’s probably Apple’s most fairly priced computing device.

Most of the discords I’m on never use screen share for anything.
Moving distros to get a new version of ruby is some amateur shit.
The distro ruby is for distro ruby app packages. It is not really meant for people to build their software against.
Docker exists because most programming languages don’t give a shit about producing easily executable outputs.
Nobody cares about your stupid python egg or ruby gem. How do I run it on my local?
It’s ok, someone will just swing through the window and save you from the complexity and dread of YAML with the gracefulness of pulumi and jsonnet.
DooM 2 is my nostalgic fave. My area code had multiple free 20+ line BBSes, so I was constantly playing 4 player doom matches(more on heretic/hexen/descent etc).
Honorable mention for the new Doom and Doom eternal.
My current favorite doom though is doom seeker and zandronum. Keeping the dream alive with crazy mods. Megaman deathmatch and shotgun frenzy are a delight.
Boeing and Lockheed Martin also spent billions of government dollars blowing up rockets, but SpaceX is still cheaper and delivering faster.
Do not downplay their engineering accomplishments.

3 yearsThis is true, there’s been a marked increase in people at meetups unable to get their laptop working with the projector.

Honestly for competitive games if you’re not playing to win, just don’t play. What’s even the point?

Amazing.
