I have had problems in the past with them, but like a decade or more ago.
Currently running a RTX2070 but don’t really feel like I need more performance, probably going to keep using it until it dies and then get an RX9060XT or what ever is the equivalent at the time. Or if it gets to a point where even the cheapest cards become a pretty significant upgrade I will probably go for it.

1 dayThis kinda shit makes me glad we left. Then I look at our own government, it’s just as bad!

2 daysNeed to know how the rest of the hardware compares to really know.
No request for me and I am not logged into a Google account. Using duckduckgo browser on a Fairphone. Phone came with it and it seems alright.

4 daysI think some hardware configs are harder to use, like if you have Nvidia.

4 daysTime to do some crime. Let’s go to a remote location. Turns router on, does crimes, turns it off. Goes home.

4 daysAllowed but janky, this is probably a more polished installer.

4 daysKinda wish I got several back then. I had 1 already though. Still got it too. Now mostly use 8bitdo controllers as I mostly use them for coop games and it’s easier to use the same type of controller.

5 daysSo it’s easy to find me living at home doing nothing, and hard to track a determined criminal who would just move it when doing crimes?

5 daysI can pay for internet in cash and the only details I gave them are fake and a random username. 4G internet isn’t even tied to the same location as I can move freely.
As I’m not bothered about doing cybercrimes I don’t bother doing that much about security though.

5 daysDo we actually know how good its specs are beyond “semi-custom CPU/GPU”? How can you even call it good/bad if that is all we know.

5 daysRunning an exit node is perfectly legal though. There would be no evidence you have done anything wrong very quickly.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Are ISPs responsible for bots having residential IPs or is this a user problem?English
5 daysFirst scenario is no different to running a TOR exit node. The second is why it needs to be built securely, which can be done though probably isn’t in these cases.

5 daysWouldn’t even mind the option to let someone else use my connection a bit for a free VPN tbh, that is no worse than running a TOR node. What I dislike is the dishonesty side of it. Be open and honest then it’s all good.
