Not that this is normal behaviour, and I mean fuck Roblox, as we all know it’s a scuzzy predatory breeding ground. But this constant narrative that video games, or music, or other types of media mediums are to blame after events like this is exhausting. It’s mental.fucking.illness thats to blame here. End of story.

You aren’t getting a processor, graphics card, a motherboard, case and that ram for $699 right now, though. That’s my point. It’s more than double the cost, if not maybe even triple right now. Do you actually get double or triple the value then? Touche on the steam savings (you could even argue pirating - not condoning but just saying it’s an option, to get those savings), but are you going to actually close the gap? PC games tend to be more demanding too, plus as a PC gamer I often find games need a lot more time for optimization and need tinkering, whereas with a console they just sort of work. There’s pros and cons to each for sure, but I’m of the opinion that right now I’m more heavily on the side of the console, at least from a $ value perspective.
You might need something to happen in the PC world for this to happen. Right now you are looking at about 5 to 6x the purchase price for a PC vs a console. Not saying I disagree with the sentiment, I get it. But I’m also sick of Nvidia and AMD who are also pretty gross.

I’m really struggling to think of if this is a bad thing, in actuality. I mean the premise, obviously yikes, but this inadvertently also might be the best thing Russia has done for their youth in years.
So it’s a piece of shit for sure?
Remember taking the balls out and scrapping all the dust and crap off the rollers? It was a guilty pleasure of mine, but some of the mice from that era got pretty dank. I had one in college that was basically a science experiment at graduation.
ICue is the worst
I totally regret buying that elite LCD that slots over the cooler, and all those Corsair fans + the case. I mean the hardware is fine, everything has been trucking a long for a really long time, the AIO, the fans, I’ve never had a problem with any of it from a hardware perspective. But it also means I’m locked into having that friggin ICue running in the background. The amount of other programs that app interferes with and basically fucks up, is unbelievable. I’m not buying anymore Corsair stuff, and iCue is 110% to blame for that.
I bought some sort of no name quasi-mechanical keyboard that came with a gaming mouse as a combo, that was like $60 on Amazon, five years ago. Literally my favourites, both of them. And I’ve had many different keyboards and mice over the years too.
I’ll never forget that game. Unwrapping my Genesis and popping that in, it was the god damn future.
Then 93 came out, and it was even better. You could put pucks through the glass, and there were even injuries!
94, hoo boy. There was no going back after 94.

They didn’t support either VR’s. Most of the titles for PSVR were third party, there was very little AAA support after the first few months around it’s release. Two years later it was dust and echos, just like PSVR2 (Blood & Truth arguably an exception, but I also believe it was still released within that two year window).

Honestly the biggest failure IMO, was because like usual, they didnt actually support it after release. I’ve fallen for this one too many times with Sony, but no more. Whenever Sony releases something other than their mainstream products, they immediately stop developing for it and basically rely on a bunch of third parties. Who usually give up shortly thereafter when they notice the dwindling support.
My vita is collecting dust with my PSVR, my PS proprietary headphones, and all the other useless shit Sony has released over the years.

1 yearReally? That sub went from being legit to being a global beacon for a failing platform in less than 30 seconds.

1 yearThat antiwork fiasco was a perfect example of a typical reddit mod. At least what my interpretation would be.

1 yearIt is. It’s also melted all our brains though, like some people need to be parented, but I mean the absolute garbage shit. That’s morphed from people cleaning that up and the spam, to mods trying to enforce a whole bunch of unwritten rules and arbitrarily deciding what people can post or comment based on their own opinions. Those people are mostly neckbeards too, so that don’t help.

1 yearI’m sure there’s the odd mod that gets paid or allowed to monetize, but the vast majority of them are unpaid.

1 yearThe great thing with Lemmy though, is you can leave instances. I could get banned into the 6th dimension and I just have to start a different account on a different instance. Often can find whatever kind of sub I’m looking for on different instances too.
The cost of this will be less users but I mean if you can get a couple hundred, that largely eliminates that issue. Lemmy will keep getting bigger, we’ll have to deal with the nutsack mods at some point, but there’s no big daddy reddit for them to hide behind here. They are on their own.
It’s pretty wack. I’m just hoping Lemmy flares up again, like it’s so heartening to see it taking off, but at the same time it’s a bit disheartening to see a lot of threads with only like 2-3 comments.
I just have to teach myself to not comment on reddit anymore, or interact with anything there. Eventually hopefully never return.
I’m pretty good at the motorcycle stockpiling myself. Just ask my wife lol

I just polished off South Park: The Fractured But Whole. I’m a huge South Park fan, was a day 1 buyer of the Stick of Truth, and went out of my way (on my honeymoon of all things) to buy this game the day it came out. We got home a couple weeks later, I played it for a couple days, got stuck not too far into it, and abandoned it.
Sometime over the past year or so, I saw it in the Nintendo Switch store for cheap, and thought I’d give it a go again. Picked it back up about a week and a half ago on our Switch 2, and just went crazy with it. It’s as good as Stick of Truth, it’s just a bit more of a slow burn at the beginning. Wouldn’t recommend it on the Switch 2 though, it really chugged in a lot of spots. Not sure if that was the game or the console’s fault.
