This makes me really happy because it’ll make collaborating with friends on things a lot easier.

More options is always good (they can miss me with that gen AI trash though)
I wonder how easy it is to use compared to GIMP or Krita?
(I still suck with Krita but that’s a me thing lol)

My main gaming rig is my last system not running Linux right now, I’ve been migrating my stuff over on my other systems for a couple months now (I keep getting distracted lol)
But not that I’ve got alts for the software I normally use on my main rig it’s finally time, 2 months ahead of schedule.

If the survey hit for me 1 week from now I’d be on Linux, I’m literally setting my system up properly next Saturday
At this point all my systems (except the Windows machine) are running Kubuntu, and NGL it’s awesome.
Mine will be this year, I only have 1 system left to put Linux on.
I’m just currently learning some RAW photo editors before I cancel my Lightroom sub.
Fusion360 was dropped a few months ago when FreeCAD went 1.0 (after I learned it enough of course)
NGL I’d love this too
Unfortunately I have no recommendations as mine have been primarily physical journals
I wonder if it’s a distro problem like with Fedora’s OBS issues (for those unaware Fedora wasn’t using the flathub flatpak but their own thatvwas broken)
That sounds like a super annoying bug though

Yeah my Windows system has my Lightroom install and my Fusion 360 install, part of my laziness is that I hear that you can get both to work but I haven’t bothered to shift over and make the attempt at getting them to work.
The open source alternatives for those 2 just aren’t there for me.

Funnily enough I could say the same about Windows
That thing has broken itself more times than I can count but my 2 linux machines (I still have 1 Windows machine) have been rock solid for 2 years now
The most only reason I have the last Windows machine is because I’ve been lazy about switching it lol

I’m not sure exactly what model but it’s a 4k 75in hisense running Android from like 5 years ago

Personally I just setup a PC as a NAS‡ and installed VLC on my TV so that I can just browse the NAS and play the files directly
Is it efficient? No.
Is it the best way? Also no.
Does it work? Yes, surprisingly well in fact.
‡ The first time was simply a network shared folder, the second time was using TrueNAS.

Recent events with streaming services has really been the best argument for self hosting your own content

A different driver set for each chip architecture maybe?
I’m unfamiliar with the “Rust” situation, has something gotten crusty or something?

That’s cool to hear
I’m looking forward to seeing more than just data center GPUs hit the open source list

The name definitely needs work

Might be a controversial take but I don’t mind them blocking unverified flatpaks by default, what I do mind is that when enabled they don’t show the rating and reviews for said flatpaks.
I’m not sure if that was addressed in this latest version but that’s they way it was not too long ago
