I’m not sure, but let’s live a little, try something new and see where it goes.

The problem is that it can still be used as a PC. In this case they cannot sell it at a loss and expect to make up for it with their 30% cut on steam games, because other people might buy it as their cheap office PC without ever using steam.

Europe@feddit.org•Germany news: Pension overhaul may push retirement age to 70English
6 hoursWhy is it currently unsustainable?
-
Because 50% or your salary are instantly taken out of your paycheck for other taxes, which you cannot invest in your own savings or towards your own house?
-
Because Germany does not let foreigners in to work and contribute to the retirement fund, because foreigners are very scary?
-
Because taxing the rich and preventing tax fraud would instantly increase the budget by a few billion euros that could be given to the retirement fund?
-
Because rents and home ownership are unaffordable because a lot of homes are in the hands of investment firms and rich people who try to get the most money out of renting, leading to raising costs that eats more than 50% of the renters remaining income each month?
-
All of the above?

Dude, that’s like hiring a truck driver and telling him his lorry will be pulled by 4 horses.
It usually works if you change the wording in your prompt so it describes what you want, instead of calling it by his common name. Instead of “create an image of Donald duck smoking a cigarette” you can try “an image of an amphibious bird with white feathers in an sailors attire, with burning rolled paper in his beak”.

1 yearA second reason for growing Internet energy consumption is that we spend more and more time on-line. Before the arrival of portable computing devices and wireless network access, we were only connected to the network when we had access to a desktop computer in the office, at home, or in the library. We now live in a world in which no matter where we are, we are always on-line, including, at times, via more than one device simultaneously.
While I agree with the point, i would like to remind everyone about the insane amount of news papers and print magazines that where produced, printed, shipped, read once and then discarded, especially up to the early 2000s before paper sales started to tank. I think it’s muchore effective and cheaper to transfer this content via the Internet instead.

Programming@programming.dev•did user engagement drop significantly in programming forums?
2 yearsI agree, but I think it’s easier for the community owners to get user to join their discord channel with one click, than having users to sign up for a forum, create an account, confirm the email, post in the right subforum and also deal with spam and forum maintenance. It’s seen as less hassle for admins and users

Having children means finding a large enough and affordable house, which is a nightmare in most cities with a lot of competition. Then you have to pay for childcare, extra food, extra utilities and other expenses. This would ruin a lot of young people who don’t earn a lot or already struggle with money, and don’t have rich parents to back them up.
