This is a genuine question btw but I’ve lost goodwill at this point anyway
I’m Fleur, feminine guy trying out lemmy. Pronouns don’t bother me use whatever you’re comfortable with :)
My dream is to have a full body mirror that reflects a better background than gym equipment.

Oh if you did then why did you buy it if it wasn’t what you wanted

Discussing is generous, I’d argue complaining

I’m not the one who’s upset with the product lmao. I’ve been using the free version and have gotten one small and non-invasive ad per like 100 posts of doom scrolling. You shouldn’t have spent your money on a product you clearly don’t think is worth the price. But ye I’m the idiot

If it was the same app buying the first would give you the second. Different payments different products.

Yeah I completely agree that the pricing for sync was egregious. Seeing how much it would cost plus the fact that it was a subscription model is the reason why I opted for the free version. Personally I think that many people were way too keen to spend their money on an unproven product. I remember being in this community on launch and seeing posts of people buying lifetime before even trying it out. I am sympathetic but if you don’t test drive the car before you buy it, is it reasonable to be outraged if it turns out to be a lemon? I don’t think so. Very much enjoyed the free experience of sync though I will probably try out other apps to find out what works for me and what I think is good value.

That’s fair enough and your frustration is understandable, albeit entirely avoidable. I think you are putting a lot of expectations on what is effectively just some guy and his project.

My advice would be to try the free version of whatever app you switch to first

Did you even try the free version before paying?
