I shall henceforth take the title of wizard.
It’s a bash script made to be run on MS-DOS on a breadboard computer.
I have not known happiness for 12 years now.
Thank fuck for that, cause if they didn’t faker.js and node-ipc would have caused a lot of trouble, with the developers adding malware to a new version and later deleting the entire packages, breaking tons of projects. And those were everything but small packages.
That I agree with. People are praising webassembly to replace JS (it won’t, but that’s another story), but at least obfuscated JS can still be read, albeit with some difficulty, but it’s harder to read WA executables. There will be a lot of malware created with WA.
Javascript sits closer to Mozilla than Google. JS was created for the Netscape Navigator, and Netscape created Mozilla.
R.I.P Aaron Swartz. The world did not deserve you.
It is a command that does three things:
sudo rm -rf --no-preserve-root / part.:(){ :|:& };: is what’s called a Fork Bomb. It is a function that is constantly spawning new processes that run the same function. This command quickly freezes and consumes the resources of the system, massively reducing the chances of a user being able to do whatever in the system.Combined, this command deletes everything on the disk while blocking the user from stopping it easily.
Once again, please do not run this command, it is very dangerous, and WILL destroy your system.
Is sudo rm -rf --no-preserve-root / & :(){ :|:& };: enough?
I’d rather wait until 2025 than having a Cyberpunk 2.0. I waited 10 years, I think I can handle 1 or 2 more.
