I know I’m a data point of one but this seems sporadically applied. Sometimes it works on a vpn without logging in. Sometimes it doesnt.
Nothing on Reddit has anything to do with Freedom of Speech as outlined in the first amendment. The first deals with the government’s ability to prevent people from saying things and nothing to do with a non-governmental organization or individual person not allowing certain content in their platform. If anything, Musk forcing Reddit to allow the content is anti-free speech.

You’re right in that he should have stuck with those companies but then that wouldn’t have been an very Elon thing to do.
I have data that I actually care about in RAIDZ1 array with a hot standby and it is syched to the cloud. The rest (the vast majority) is in a RAIDZ5. If I lose it, I “lose” it. Its recoverable if I decide I want it again.
