Well I already have jellyfin running in a container, just have to figure out how to get mum’s TV to work with it I guess
<edit> log in on a local IP and not the network name and it’s working again. but I’ll be moving to jellyfin from now
It was more or less the default many moons ago, then just a username became more common, now it is back to email or some third party login

Um, BBC reports on no BBC…
for aussie.zone users amongst others

I too want the features you list, not sure how doable the recommendations would be on a local server for songs that are not on there already?

I run my lemmy instance on their free tier, although I do have full account so I can expand for for full backups during upgrade, and also on the pure free tier I couldn’t get all 4 free cores at the closest DC

If they are deemed fire arms (and they were) then:
I’m not sure where it stands at the moment for the secret service/FBI coming into NZ but in the past they have been forced to hand over all firearms and Protection was supplied by NZ police and Defence Force - and that was before the last round of tightening up of fire arms laws

I spent ages looking for the dialogue box before I went to plex’s site and searched

how is using a FQDN user error when the logs show the access is from a 10.1.1.x address?

I looked back at jellyfin’s history. I have had it installed for over 3 years, just not transitioned to uisinf it as up until last night plex had worked just fine (even with remote access)

I have always connected via a FQDN, for some reason last night it decided to shit it’s self. Resolved by accessing via local IP, then the FQDN worked again

because like 10 years of use, maybe more?

the thing is I always use the network name. Once I used the IP I couls go back to using plex.<mylastname>.TLD

well everythig has been working fine for years as is, and still works fine on firefox (I wanted to cast to chromecast tonight, it worked fine 2 days ago)

I did try and preempt that in my comment - but it’s hard to switch from plex when there are 5 other people with everything all configured and history etc

You could even go the Oracle route on their free tier, probably has more compute than many $5/m VPS, although the learning curve is MUCH steeper than a simple VPS

In the above thread we have come to the conclusion that hot reset has stopped forking for some reason (this is what I had come up with when it first happened), any thoughts?
OK, this is really annoying…
I have an intel based PC that I use as a server that is sitting under the lounge TV that I was using to drive the TV with a linux VM using pci pass-through of the iGPU.
Every thing was working well, then all of a sudden there was no output to the TV. The iGPU still works fine during boot.
I have just updated proxmox to the latest, and no better results.
I sometimes will get it to work on a new install of a vm, but on reboot of the vm it all stops.
Any thoughts on where/what to look at?
Dawarich and Reitti are the two I know of. tested both around a year ago, but not used really since then
