The only thing Bazzite smashes is the ability to boot my laptop, which was the be expected as Fedora also consistently had major issues on it in the past. I’ll stick to Mint, works well enough for gaming now that I’ve whipped it into shape.
To be honest, Mint is no better in that regard on my laptop. Closing my laptop and pulling the power adapter always results in the system not going to sleep mode, but remaining active. Opening it will actually cause it to resume going to sleep. Really annoying.
Reminds me of the time I ran a FreeBSD webserver from home, compiling Apache from source took the better part of a day. But still good times, learned a lot from that experience.
Yeah, that’s definitely a concern. My first installation shredded its SD card in no time due to each request getting logged and stored on disk. Turning off long term query logging mitigated that issue, for my home network I don’t care about that history anyway.
Anybody got the feeling some games may be negatively affected by a PiHole ?
My RPi 2 has been happily running PiHole in my network for about 8 years now and with a number of pretty strict block lists, personally I never had any issues with games.
I don’t know, but for me it was undiagnosed ADHD. 😋 Fortunately IT is one of the areas where lack of a degree isn’t a showstopper.

Yes, they can indeed be a problem for people with allergies. In my case dogs (and cats unfortunately) trigger respiratory issues. I had that issue at a workplace where dogs were allowed, not fun times. And unfortunately medication like antihistamines are not an option for everybody, personally I get extremely drowsy from them, even from the latest generation meds.
Isn’t dendrite formation and the shorts they can cause a much bigger concern when dealing with old batteries that are being charged 24/7? Asking a genuine question here, so please don’t shoot me if I’m wrong. 🙂 I’d love to hear more about the most common failure modes and causes for li-po/ion batteries.
