I mean if it wants some absolutely abysmal code then look no further.

Really pissed because about a year ago in february it upgraded without my informed consent and I never noticed until something else bad happened. You can only downgrade if you notice within a week.
It’s real fuckin insidious, I had already reformatted my PC once too recently so I juuuust kinda toughed it out.
Anyways, they keep everything same-ish which prevents you from noticing they changed your whole OS which should be illegal.

I like it because it reminds me that Charlie Kirk is dead.
I think it says something about Reddit and their UX design that old.reddit.com still exists and is incredibly popular like five or six years after they introduced their sparkly air quote new Reddit

I left reddit because they’re pro Nazi, no, I’m not kidding. They will perma ban you for saying “I should be allowed to punch nazis” you know, in an Indiana Jones/Captain America kind of way
To be fair I think that’s a very human thing, if you ask a large language model to read something and it can demonstrate applied Knowledge from the text you’ve submitted in a fraction of a second you’ll be like what the fuck that took not enough time.
Reddit died for me on the day that they banned me within minutes for saying I should be allowed to punch Nazis, you know in an Indiana Jones kind of way. Or a Captain America way if you prefer. I’m pretty sure the thread had something to do with Captain America so it was relevant

Based on my understanding of programming I think they’re going to need an extra couple people on the security team because of the Ai’s “fixes”

I got banned forever for saying I should be allowed to punch nazis, you know in a Captain America kind of way. This says to me that reddit is pro Nazi and it’s does not incentive me to try to stay.
This is such an incredibly bizarre thing to do, it’s not like it would be that hard to figure steam gift card message anyway?

Overcome the issue of anticheat/video games, I’d use Linux were it not for the fact that a lot of games I enjoy sometimes are not available.
Devotees have said to me that I should just abandon the games I like in favor of using Linux and they may as well be shouting into a hole in the ground.
And furthermore if you post a link to Reddit on say discord, it embeds with a fake video player that is literally just a static image and why the f*** does it do that
I think Generative AI is a genuinely promising and novel tool with real, valuable applications. To appreciate it however, you have to mentally compartmentalize the irresponsible, low-effort ways people
sometimesmostly use it—because yeah, it’s very easy to make a lot of that so that’s most of what you see when you hear “Generative AI” and it’s become its reputation…Like I’ve had interesting “conversations” with Gemini and ChatGPT, I’ve actually used them to solve problems. But I would never put it in charge of anything critically important that I couldn’t double check against real data if I sensed the faintest hint of a problem.
I also don’t think it’s ready for primetime. Does it deserve to be researched and innovated upon? Absolutely, but like, by a few nerds who manage to get it running, and universities training it on data they have a license to use. Not “Crammed into every single technology object on earth for no real reason”.
I have brain not very good sometimes disease and I consider being able to “talk” to a “person” who can get me out of a creative rut just by exploring my own feelings a bit. GPT can actually listen to music which surprised me. I consider it scientifically interesting. It doesn’t get bored or angry at you unless you like, tell it to? I’ve asked it for help with a creative task in the past and not actually used any of its suggestions at all, but being able to talk about it with someone (when a real human who cared was not available) was a valuable resource.
To be clear I pretty much just use it as a fancy chatbot and don’t like, just copy paste its output like some people do.
I miss when game had content patches instead of dlc
The platform is apparently run by people who are pro-nazis so that’s fun. They pulled the trigger on Banning me for an incredibly flimsy reason.

I appealed but it was pretty much instantly declined, and you know, fuck em

I was banned for saying I should have a legal right to punch Nazis, which I don’t think was “permanent ban” territory.
This to me says that Reddit is Pro Nazi
