I would like to propose to accept JavaScript as an esoteric programming language. The syntax is a joke and nobody uses it unironically.

TIL. But not much harder to read than jQuery-laden websites, I think.

Rockstar is, in fact it is even supported on code.golf so you can try it and compete!

I’m good, thanks. I’ve got plenty of C, C++, Python, Zig and Rust code that needs to be written as it is. If I’m going to use some of my sparse free time to have a look at new programming languages, I’d rather spend it on Haskell, Erlang, Eiffel or Ada.
I don’t see Rockstar or other esolangs as likely to teach me anything novel, useful or transferable and It’s not going to do much for my CV either. Perhaps I’m being overly pragmatic, but I only have so much time per day, and we all have to prioritize.

Tbf I think the point of things like rockstar are to have fun doing dumb bullshit.
Also, so you can call yourself a “rockstar developer”

At least when I had to create a DSL in a project I gave it a fitting name: Bullscript.

I have an idea for an eso lang, called Greentext, where you write little programs as greentext story, scope indentation is
, and exception handling is done by typing> my parents beat me up.
