I think that is a big stretch to interpret that as stalking. Now I dislike Facebook and I don’t use it, but reconnecting with friends and family is kinda their whole business model. Well, originally it was, now it’s keep feeding people a constant stream of crap so they never close the app. Just like everything else.

It could also be something that never was. I have definitely heard it used just as much for someone that things just didn’t materialize into a relationship. Regardless, “reconnect” is not the same as stalk. It’s reaching.

I know someone who used Facebook to reconnect with an ex.
We’re married now.

The entire reason Facebook exists to begin with was so Zuck could creep on his female classmates. This is not surprising at all.

True. It was originally called The Face Book and it only had pics of female classmates and people could rate them.

It’s true, they cover it in the film about Facebook ( the social network) which is a pretty good watch if you want to get a gist of who Zuckerberg is.

If he’d named it with more honesty & transparency, he would’ve named it The Creeper Catalog.

Reconnect on Facebook? With people? When I accidentally login to my Facebook account, the feed is almost only advertisements. Like 18 sponsored posts for every friend that I actually follow. It’s more a platform to see ads where accidentally every now and then you can see stuff you care about

I thought “the one that got away” means “the crush you never got together with”?

Looks like OP chose to interpret this ad in the creepiest way possible.

isnt Facebook users, mostly about stalking others on there. before the pandemic, i was sitting in a school university computer lab, and this whiney girl was telling her friends about a guy he knows was blocking her, she was really upset about that. i can see some of these people stalking on facebook. she also looked around as if people were listening to her. same kinda goes for twitter too, before musk.

true, but she was so loud everyone around her can hear it. like how people are annoying loud in thier phone conversation in public
