I highly recommend Mlx-audio for anyone doing tts on Apple Silicon. It offers great performance, leverages kokoro-82M, and plays well with streaming frontends like Open webui. The one shot voice cloning feature is also pretty cool.

I’d be concerned with the type of user base this will attract. Gonna end up with more predators than Dunder Mifflin Infinity. I just have low trust in online users. Wouldn’t even host a Lemmy server, having to manage text and images submitted by anonymous users, no thanks.

I’ve been experimenting with something similar the last two months. My workflow involves self reported health data via NextCloud forms. The api feeds a sql db that’s modeled using grafana. I also have a python tool in open webui to chat over the data with gpt-oss:20b. Fun project. Happy to hear others are tinkering too.

Definitely overkill for just a calendar app but the great thing about NextCloud is once you spin it up there’s probably an integration for the next 5 FOSS solutions you’re looking for, which means fewer containers to manage in Docker.
