Why would I draw a circle in a photo editing suite?
Maybe you need something different?

The ui is dated? Lol what?

I was hoping to catch this before your replied, as I went and read the readme, then it made more sense. So I deleted my reply. But too late!
I have thousands of video files to transcode, and I didn’t want to have to manually tweak the command for every batch. I also didn’t want to have to rebuild it if I have more to do 6 months down the line - I’m lazy.
The cool thing is there isn’t much to put into a command that does stuff like this, unless you changing the FFMPEG parameters every time, but that would seem unlikely.
Yeah for sharing I get some of the bells and whistles.
What would be cool to have is a much better open source and free TV series renamer if you are looking for a future project!

Yes they mean a SMB share. A type of network share that works (mostly) with Linux and windows.
Realistically it’s worse than that right? Where is your second and third 12tb drive for back ups? Raid is a nice to have but meaningless when it comes to back ups.

I was up 10 to 20 percent month over month, and suddenly up 1000% it has spiked hard and they all are data harvesters.
I know I am going to start blocking them, which is too bad, I put valuable technical information up, with no advertising, because I want to share it. And I don’t even really mind indexers or even AI learning about it. But I cannot sustain this kind of bullshit traffic, so I will end up taking a heavy hand and blocking everything, and then no one will find it.
I just was considering trying it out! Oh well.

Yes, just like how they got there in the first place.

Except when it isn’t. Like the confusion of a name, claim a name, channels, requirements to meet some bullshit before you can speak, and chat in which area and all the while it looks really awful.
I did basically the same thing with someone today, I sent them a link they clicked and we started chatting with Jitsi.
Realistically the issue is creating the place to go, not the service itself. That is the more difficult part.

Sure but it’s not intuitive, it’s a pain in the ass, yet there they are. They learned something new at one time, moving away from whatever they had before, why can’t they again?

How did they get to discord in the first place then?

pretty cheap relatively speaking, and usually a lot more flexible depending on what you use.

You have to do a lot of work. You would have to keep up on what domains it’s using (which were in the dozens four years ago for samsung), and make sure it doesn’t use some as kill switches if it finds something blocked.
We aren’t stopping just ads, we are stopping spying, data sharing, snooping, network mapping, etc.

Its even easier to never let it on the network.
LinkedIn is not, nor ever was a social business networking site. It’s a data mining and harvesting site that recently added AI training data to the mix.
It is mind boggling that people use it, even before microsoft bought it for data mining, it was going through the users emails.
Avoid.
Its always been this way. Never said hello in the first place. But good to see people waking up to it.

If you are talking about using Linux on a desktop, then use DigiKam for photo management. It is far more advanced, because it is a desktop application and been around a lot longer.
You could have a workflow of a desktop environment AND immich on the server for the best of what they both offer.

Want to mention some? I have no containers using that at all.
Perhaps you never clean up as you move forward? It’s easy to forget to prune them.
I don’t mind them, except Ubuntu. Broken by default since it started. I don’t know how or why, but it is the most fragile least user friendly one of the bunch.
