I’m not sure there’s any way to tell.
The bots can pass a turing test, now.
I figure at some point it’ll just be one random dude talking to bot shadows of themself.

It’s an ugly mix of bots, foriegn influence campaign supported keyboard warriors, and poor humans caught in the middle of it

I made a sub that got popular (in its niche). Good people. Little drama. Productive everything. For like 4 years. Then suddenly it’s dying. Posts have dropped to 5% prior. I see no leeching competitors. I’m thinking maybe something deep is happening to reddit. Like organ failure. Or brain parasite.

Have you considered opening a community here, and pointing to it from your sub?

Ya, I’ve considered it. My enthusiasm ain’t there anymore tho. There are members way more enthusiastic than me. I assume that they are aware of Lemmy. I’ll mention it to them. They have a discord too.
It’s generative art. That’s the subject. A population of good prometheuses. /r/generative

Makes sense, enthusiasm comes and goes. Well done for building that community
