That level of snark was 100% unnecessary and missed the likely point that Fox is not a great news source in general. This seems to be better than Fox News since it is a local affiliate, but you could point that out and not be a jerk about it.
Like I said before, I don’t think that is why they were pointing out that it was an affiliate. Fox is a notoriously bad news source. Besides, if you thought it silly to point out what you think is obvious, you could have asked for clarification instead of being a jerk about it
